Alison works as an Office Manager at the Quad Cities 60th Street Campus. Alison began her career at WIU in March 2007 as a Secretary III. She has progressively promoted to her current position. Among Alison's responsibilities is her involvement in the implementation of the move, to Phase II of the Riverfront Campus. She also oversees staff that supports faculty. Alison also works closely with student affairs, scheduling appointments, meetings, and managing the Assistant Vice President's calendar. Alison's favorite part of her job is being involved in all types of interesting conversations that occur as a part of working in a higher education environment. She also enjoys the interactions with the students. Alison shares her thoughts for prospective employees considering employment at the QC Campus… "It's an exciting time to be working at WIU, due to the growth and expansion on our campus." When asked about something that has helped her in her job, Alison responds, "BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS with people always helps. It makes us more connected and better communicators. It's important!" When Alison has free time, she enjoys reading and watching all kinds of movies!
