Stuff The Bus

Help make a difference in our community!

The 14th annual "Stuff the Bus, Get Off Your Cans" food drive will be held from 8:00am to 6:00pm Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

On Wednesday, November 6, 2019 a Go West Bus will be parked at Sherman Circle from 8:00am to 5:00pm to hold donation drop-offs. Donations will be sorted at the Sherman Circle location throughout the day, then delivered to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at Macomb's First Presbyterian Church at 5:00pm. Donations will also be delivered to the Western Illinois Regional Council (WIRC) Community Action Agency, the WIU Food Pantry on campus and the Salvation Army.

In McDonough County, Loaves & Fishes Etc. on average, serves 383 households or about 1290 individuals each month. Western Illinois University’s food pantry on campus serves 75 to 100 patrons each week. Western Illinois Regional Council – Community Action Agency serves 200 to 300 families with food each month. The unfortunate reality is that those individuals and families who are in need continue to increase. Therefore the importance of local food drives increase as well!

Our last food drive collected 5,740 non-perishable food items and $1,122 in monetary donations. We need your assistance in surpassing these results!
