Western's Go4 Programs

Go 4 Porgrams

Empowering our region's community college students to complete a four-year, undergraduate degree program while easing their transition into the University.

Western Illinois University's Go4 Programs enable more area students to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree than ever before. Serving the west-central Illinois region through partnerships with area community colleges, WIU's Go4 Programs encourage regional community college students to pursue a four-year degree at Western while fostering a seamless transition from their community college into an undergraduate academic program at WIU (providing the student meets all of Western's academic program and University admission requirements).

Go 4 Programs

Students following Western's Go4 Programs are full-time, college-ready students at a participating community college enrolling in a course at Western during their freshman and sophomore years while taking classes at the community college and/or while attaining their associate’s degree at the community college. WIU offers a variety of undergraduate programs and majors at its campus locations in Macomb and Moline. Availability of undergraduate major or program may depend on campus location and the student's grade point average.

Western's community college partners include Black Hawk College and Carl Sandburg College. Each community college partner has its own, individually named program which corresponds to Western’s Go4 Programs.
