  • Shower Them with Roses: Lion's Club Fundraiser
    Shower them with your love....by ordering your student a dozen wrapped roses. Student's living in campus residence buildings with have the wrapped roses delivered to the front desk of the building they live in. Off campus students will pick them up at the registration table. Nothing says I love you, like roses. Thanks you for supporting the Macomb Lions Club.
  • R & R Spa: 102 North Side Square
    Friday, 9:00am-7:00 pm. Choose any two services for $62.00, 30 minute massage, express facial, and/or pedicure. Advance appointment required by calling (309) 833-3401.
  • Grand Escape Day Spa Extravaganza: 420 E. Jackson
    Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Enjoy a $45 pedicure/manicure package or for $50 pamper yourself to a sixty minute massage with a complimentary foot salt scrub. Advance appointment required by calling (309) 833-2020.
  • Check-In and Registration Table: University Union, Grand Ballroom Gallery, First Floor
    Friday, Noon-6:00pm. Register or pick up registration materials. Registration will move to outside Grand Ballroom, 1st Floor, Union at 5:00 pm.
  • Open Recreation: Spencer Student Recreation Center
    Friday, 5:30am-9:00pm. Mom's admitted free with wristband.
  • Leatherneck vs.South Dakota State Double Header: Boyer Baseball Field
    Friday 1:00 & 4:30pm. Free admission to WIU leatherneck baseball.
  • Massages at the Rec: Spencer Student Recreation Center
    Friday, 2:30-5:30pm & 6:00-8:00pm. Advance appointment required by calling (309) 298-1228. $1.00 per minute chair massage. Payable by cash or check at time of appointment.
  • Dinner Check in and Registration Table: University Union, Grand Ballroom Gallery
    Friday, 6:20-6:30. Register or pick up your registration material.Staff will also be greeting guest for dinner at this location.
  • Moms' Dinner Reception & Parents Night Out Comedy Show: University Union, Grand Ballroom
    Friday, 6:30pm. Doors open at 6:30. Dinner will be a served meal. Your meal selections are encrusted Tilapia with mango salsa served with caramelized onion mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus or Roasted chicken Florentine served with oven roasted herb new potatoes and green beans. Entrée selections are accompanied by dinner salads, dessert, rolls, and coffee or tea. Advance reservations and payment required. Cash bar from 6:15-8:15pm. Dinner will be served at 6:45pm. Casual attire preferred. Following dinner is Parents Night Out Comedy Show at 8:00pm.
  • Parents Night Out Comedy Show (Show Only): University Union, Grand Ballroom
    Friday, 8:00pm. Tickets are available for guest through the BCA website for $15.00 per guest. For WIU students they will need to reserve their ticket for the Rex Haven show through Moms' weekend reservation system, both student and guest tickets will then be available to pick up at mom's weekend registration. Last year the show Sold Out, therefore if you purchase a ticket as a guest, please make sure you reserve your students ticket through the moms' weekend reservation site.
  • Rialto Theater Special: 1401 East Jackson Street
    Friday. All evening shows are $1.00 off for Mom's presenting the Mom's Weekend wristband. For all shows and times please visit earlann.net or call (309) 833-2626.
  • Digger's College City Bowl: 123 Adams Street
    Friday, 9:30pm-11:30pm. Cost is $7.00 per person and bowl all you can (includes shoe rental)! Any mom, who is wearing the moms weekend wristband will receive a large fountain soda with the purchase of Friday Nights Rock and Bowl Special.

  • 6th Annual Donna Phillips Memorial 5K Fun Run / Dog Walk: Brophy Hall, East Entrance
    Saturday, 8:30 am. $25 per racer. All per-registered individuals will receive a race day t-shirt and gift. Late and day of event registrants will receive a gift. Prizes will be given to winners in different categories for both the fun run and dog walk/run. Proceeds will benefit the Department of Kinesiology and their student organizations at Western Illinois University. 8:30 race packet pickup begins in Brophy gymnasium, 9:30 fun run begins, 9:35 dog run begins, 9:40 dog walk begins.     Saturday, 10:00am-8:00pm. Bring in your Mom and get 10% off your purchase at Rock n Records - your source for posters, music, apparel and much more! Students must present their WIU ID to receive the discount.

  • The Leatherneck Art, Craft, and Vendor Show: University Union, Heritage Room and Gallery
    Saturday, 10:30am-3:00pm. Items for Moms and students to browse or purchase. Vendors will be selling art, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, crafts, purses, candles and much more.
  • Moms' weekend DIY Workshop: Knoblauch Hall 203
    Saturday, 10:30-12:00 pm. Drop in anytime and join the Visual and Apparel Merchandising Organization (VAMO) and make a couple of quick and cute fashion accessories. We highly suggest bringing a T-shirt to make a DIY scarves and/or headband. Supplies for the other accessories will be on a first come, first serve basis. $10.00 collected on site.
  • Moms' Rocky Weekend Workout: Spencer Recreation Center, Fitness Studio East
    Saturday, 12:00-12:50 pm. Moms' come out and get your sweat on. This work out is just what you and your student need to get your day going.
  • Cooking Lunch Class: 230 Knoblauch Hall
    Saturday, 12:15pm-1:45pm. Advance registration and payment required. Dr. Boston will share with students and moms some simple recipes that students can create.
  • Ab's what Ab's? Let's find them again: Spencer Recreation Center, Fitness Studio East
    Saturday, 1:00-1:30. We all remember those tight abs we used to have.... make a commitment to finding them again. Stop in to this fun and energetic class. Only 30 minutes of your day!
  • High Ropes Course Experience: Horn Field Campus
    Saturday, 1:00-4:00pm. $15 per person and Mom's climb free. Payment is collected on site on a first come first served basis. All equipment and training is provided. You must be 18 years old or accompanied by an adult. Sponsored by RPTA and Horn Field Campus. 309-833-5798
  • Digger's College City Bowl: 123 E. Adams Street
    Saturday, 2:00pm-11:00pm. Open Bowling. Students bring your mom by Diggers for a little fun at the bowling alley. WIU Mom's will receive free shoe rental with the purchase of one or more games.
  • Cupcake Battles: 230 Knoblauch Hall
    Saturday, 2:30 pm. Savory and Sweet cupcake battle. Participants provide their own baking supplies and put together their cupcakes in the Knoblauch Hall kitchen. Each team will have one and half hours to prepare 2 dozen cupcakes fully decorated for judging. Sampling will be available at 4:00 for a nominal cost and watching is encouraged.
  • Veteran's Club Baggo Tournament: Student Recreation Center
    Saturday, 3:00 pm until tournament is completed. Help the WIU Veterans Club support the Peoria Honor Flight by participating in the Veterans Baggo Tournament. It is $10 per team. Your $10 will go to the above mentioned Charity. The Veterans club will provide some snacks and beverages, as well as, prizes for 1-3 place. Support the troops t-shirts will be for sale at the Baggo Tournament!
  • CupCake Tasting: 230 Knoblauch Hall
    Saturday, 4:00-5:00 pm. Start your evening with desert! Tickets are pre-sold on the reservation site and remaining tickets will be sold at the door. 1 ticket will provide 4 quartered samples or one cupcake.
  • Big Pink Volleyball Challenge: Spencer Student Recreation Center
    Saturday, 7:00 pm. Big Pink volleyball is as easy as counting to 3! 1...2...3 If you can do that you can play. Teams will be put together by the recreation center and require mom's to participate. Great way to have fun and make memories to last a life time. Free event, but registration is required.
  • Give Me a B..I..N..G..O!: University Union, Lamoine Room
    Saturday, 8:00 pm. Ladies bring down your Bingo stamper and let's play. Sponsored by University Union Board.
  • Rialto Theater Special: 1401 East Jackson Street

    Sunday, 8:00am till dusk. Take advantage of the WIU Internet special. Parent fee is $28.00 and student fee is $24.00. Internet coupon special and tee time must be scheduled in advance by calling 309-298-3676.
  • Moms' Farewell Lunch: University Union, Grand Ballroom
    Sunday, 11:00am. Soup and Salad Bar Buffet. Join us at a casual lunch to end your weekend experience with your student. Build your own salad, with grilled chicken, bacon crumbles, tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, egg, cheese, croutons, etc. and enjoy a bowl of either cream of potato or tortilla soup. Advance reservations and payment required.
  • Rock n Records: 324 N Lafayette: Sunday, Noon- 6:00pm. Bring in your mom and get 10% off your purchase at Rock n Records - your source for posters, music, apparel and much more! Students must present their WIU ID to receive the discount.

  • Open Swim and Sauna: Spencer Student Recreation Center
    Sunday, 1:00pm-5:00 pm. Swim laps, relax on an inner tube, enjoy the whirlpool, or try the sauna. Aquatic equipment available.

    Friday-Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm. Convention Bureau, South of the Square
  • Argyle State Park - 6 miles West of Macomb, Rt. 136
    Fish, picnic, camp, and enjoy the wilderness. Rent a rowboat, canoe, or paddle boat.
  • Spring Lake - North of Macomb, off Rt. 67
    Hike, fish, picnic, camp, or rent a rowboat or canoe.
  • Everly Park - Randolph Street, Macomb
    Beautiful park with scenic picnic areas.

Driving Directions

  • Horn Field Campus: Take University Drive East to Lafayette Street (US 67) turn right. Go through the first light. At second light, turn right (route 136). At traffic light, go straight. At "T" intersection, turn right, then immediately left on Johnson Street. At stop sign, continue straight. Turn right on China road. Follow signs and turn left to enter Horn Field Campus.
  • Digger's College City Bowl: Turn East on Adams Street. Cross over US 67, Diggers is on the right.
  • Ball Fore Family Entertainment Center: Miniature golf, batting cages, driving range. Take University Drive East to Lafayette Street (US 67). Go through the first light. At second light, turn right (route 136). Follow 136 to Ball Fore (left hand side of road).
  • Rialto Theater: Take University Drive East to Lafayette Street (U.S. 67) turn right. Go through the first light. As second light, turn left (route 136). Follow route 136 towards the west side of town. Turn right on Prairie Street into shopping plaza.
