PRIDE MONTH
June is Pride Month, a time to recognize the significance of the June 1969 Stonewall Riots and its place in American history as the flashpoint that ignited the equal rights movement for the LGBT*QA community. It is also a time of joy and celebration of the victories and battles won and a time for community-building and reflection to face the obstacles and struggles that remain.
Celebrated in large cities and small towns across the globe, Pride Month is an opportunity for communities to honor diversity and individuals to value and appreciate expressions of individuality, identity and personhood in its myriad of forms.
