2013 Siblings Weekend Schedule
Friday, April 19th
Check in/T-Shirt pick-up – 4pm-10pm – Outside bookstore
Acoustic Event (UUB) – 6pm-7:30pm – COOL Dining
UUB is bringing yet another acoustic coffeehouse event featuring John Davey and Erin Rae. Free food will be provided.
Western’s Got Talent – 9pm-11pm – Sandburg Theater
Lincon/Washington/Grote’s capstone event. ***This event will cost $2 as the money goes to a charity of the residence hall’s choice.
Arts & Crafts - 7:30 - 10 PM – Lincoln Room - Union
There will be many Disney inspired crafts for you and your sibling to bring home!
Saturday, April 20th
Continental Breakfast – 8am-11am – All residence halls
Hall Governments from each of the residence hall’s here on campus have provided the participants of Siblings Weekend with a variety of breakfast items chosen by the members of Hall Government
Carnival – 11am-4pm – Recreation Center – Please enter the doors on the main level.
There will be several events including a photo booth, cotton candy, bouncy houses, a DJ, and more! It’s sure to be an amazing time. **Check-in/T-shirt pickup will be available at this event.
Hall Government Programs - 4pm-6pm
COOL – Ready for some fun with COOL Hall? Come out to have some friendly sibling competition with an Olympic Relay event!
Higgins – Come sing your heart out at karaoke. Try to beat the clock in some Minute to Win It activities.
Finally take away a Crayon Art craft to remember a great weekend.
Tanner – Come tie-dye shirts and whatever you would like while bonding with your siblings! The first fifty
people to arrive will get a free shirt! But you can bring any kind of clothing that you would like!
Bay/Henn - Bay/Henn presents “Pinterest Hour” where we will have craft items to make, such as
friendship bracelets and decorating mason jars as well as Video Game Hour.
Movie Night – 8pm-10pm – Grote Pit
“Up” will be shown in the Grote Pit for all Siblings Weekend participants. Free food will also be provided.
Glow Party – 9pm-12am – Grote E-Classroom
A very fun event for all ages will take place in the Grote E-Classroom immediately following the movie night. There will be snacks, drinks, music, fun, and lots of glow items to take home!
Sunday, April 21st
T-Shirt pick-up – 8pm-12pm – Outside bookstore
Breakfast with your sibling – 8am – 10am – Multicultural Center
There will be an amazing breakfast catered by Sodexo on Sunday morning to start wrapping up the weekend.
Big Pink Game/Bags – 10am-12pm – Recreation Center
The final event of Siblings Weekend will be hosted at the Recreation Center with bags and Big Pink to officially wrap up the whole weekend.
Schlaggsters Youth Football Camp – 12pm-3pm – Hansen Field
Come out and meet the WIU football team as they help youth learn valuable skills for on and
off the field. Punt, pass and kick drills will be held along with team building activities. The first 70 participants receive a free t-shirts.
