What does Casa mean to you?
Casa, to me, is a place we’re you not only get to meet incredible individuals but also do things to make the public more involved and accepted.
What is your favorite Casa event and why?
Calle Murray because it brings the community together.
What advice would you give to incoming Western students or first-years?
Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. How else would you meet people if you don’t put forth the effort?

What does Casa mean to you?
Casa means a home away from home to me. It enables me to feel supported and provides me with unlimited resources to ensure my academic success, personal development as well as empowering my cultural identity.
What is your favorite Casa event and why?
My favorite Casa event are any events that have to do with culture or identity where interactive and engaging conversations are held. It is always interesting to me to see what my peers think and how they feel because many times these thoughts and feelings are relatable which creates a common ground in which we can all support each other through understanding each other.
What advice would you give to incoming Western students or first-years?
For incoming Western students or first-year students, the best advice I could give is to get involved as much as possible. Everyone says this but the importance behind this is to find a strong support system to hold you down to Western and your college experience.
What is a quote you like to live by?
Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.

What does Casa mean to you?
To me Casa Latina has been a place to relax and escape from any discomfort or struggle that I have encountered during my college career. It is always filled con gente que son muy amables y que hacen que Casa Latina se sienta mas como un hogar.
What is your favorite Casa event and why?
Calle Murray is my favorite Casa event. I love that it is a block party and further into the night it becomes a baile where everyone is dancing and laughing and celebrating together.
What advice would you give to incoming Western students or first-years?
Really try to keep your academic priorities in line. As soon as your GPA begins to fall you may lose out in many opportunities including scholarships.

What does Casa mean to you?
Casa means to me a home away from home. I felt this familial connection when I met the faculty and students at Casa Latina. I want to preserve that and help strengthen the organization for others. It is my passion to help Latinx and individuals from other backgrounds.
What is your favorite Casa event and why?
Casa Latina’s annual Leadership Retreat is my favorite event. I learned leadership skills and how to impact people’s lives through altruistic gestures. I am a leader who may not be as loud as others but I bring people together with my actions. I feel that working for Casa Latina will enable me to continue helping the community, and motivate individuals for academic success.
What advice would you give to incoming Western students or first-years?
For incoming Western students or first year students, the best advice I could give you is to never give up. To keep striving to achieve your goals no matter how hard it gets. Because in the end it will be worth it.
What is a quote you like to live by?
A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.”
