Cooking a Healthy Dinner, March 27
5:30 PM

  • Location: Knoblauch Hall on the 2nd floor in the test kitchens
  • Make a meal that is time efficient, flavorful, and won't hurt your waistline.
  • Sign up in the Campus Recreation Office, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
  • $5 FEE when registering
  • Open to the first 8 people who sign up.

Women's Weight Training, Wednesdays, April 2, 9, and 16 
12:15-1:00 PM

  • Free and open to the Campus Community! Open to the first 10 people who sign-up!
  • April 2- Informational session about the basics of weight training. Each participant receives as booklet.
  • April 9- Learn to use Cybex equipment and receive a weight training log.
  • April 16- Learn the basics of free weight lifting and practice performing the exercises.
  • Each Session is led by a Campus Recreation Personal Trainer.

  • Saturday, April 12, 2014
  • Location: Fitness Studio East (FSE)
  • Register in the Campus Recreation Office, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., or on day of event.
  • Check-in and weigh-in begins at 2:00 PM in FSE.
  • Competition begins at 3:00 PM
  • Competition will have weight classes and 2 judges.
  • The competition is FREE of charge!

  • Zumba and Leatherneck Training will be canceled indoors during this event.

Biggest Loser Fitness Contest, January 27-March 3, 2014

  • 6-week weight loss competition
  • Register Online or in the Campus Recreation Office
  • Office Hours are 8am-4:30pm
  • Call 298-1228 ext 221 to register
  • $30 Registration Fee
  • 10 participants will be selected from applications
  • A Physical Examination is required prior to acceptance into the competition from BEU or personal Doctor
  • Group Meetings every Monday night in Fitness Student East and/or Keeney Room
  • 2 Personal Trainer Sessions a week

Group Strength Training, Begins February 18, 2014

  • Introduction to general weight lifting through group personal training
  • Led by Campus Recreation Personal Trainers
  • 6 Week Program
  • Tuesdays and Thursday at 11am

Indoor Triathlon, Saturday, March 1
2:00 PM

  • 425 meter(17 lengths) swim, 10 mile bike. 2 mile (16 laps) run 
  • Race starts in the Aquatics Center.

  • Medals Awarded to the top 3 male and female competitors!
