Registration Information

Advance Registration

Currently enrolled students will receive an e-mail message (sent to their WIU e-mail account) telling them their advance registration date and time, or they can find the information on STARS. During Advance Registration undergraduate students may only register for courses offered for their degree programs. For graduate students, registration in some graduate courses may be restricted (e.g., degree candidates only, instructor permission, etc.).

During Advance Registration, you may register by fax, mail, online, or in person at all sites on or after your scheduled registration time (please see Registration Procedures).

Open Registration

Student Registering Via Telestars.During Open Registration students may register for any open course for which they are qualified and may register by fax, mail, online, or in person at all sites (please see Registration Procedures).

Please Note: Clearance of encumbrances and departmental special permissions must be arranged by the student prior to registering. WIU administrative and academic departments in Macomb are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
