Quad Cities Campus

Life Long Learning

Lifelong Learning opportunities are sponsored by the School of Distance Learning, International Studies, and Outreach through our Quad Cities Initiatives Office. The goal of lifelong learning is to provide opportunities for personal growth through courses which impart knowledge by community members who wish to share their expertise in various areas. Class participation is open to any adult in the local community. There are no prerequisites, papers, or tests for any of the courses, just a desire to learn about the subject matter.

Because we are dedicate to serving the community through a lifetime of learning, it is our desire to offer courses which enrich the lives of individuals long after the need for a college degree. We are here to teach for those who wish to learn for the pure joy and satisfaction of personal, emotional, and intellectual growth. Lifelong learning at WIU have included such topics as birding, personal finance, photography, and other courses which are of interest to learners.
