Clinical/Community Mental Health Program
Curriculum Schedule
The curriculum in the Clinical/Community Mental Health Program consists of 5 semesters of academic and practical training on campus and a 9 to 12 month, full time internship at an approved mental health agency. The curriculum is designed to be completed in three calendar years from the time of first entrance to graduate study. For those students whose situations make full time attendance difficult, the program can be spread out to lessen the demands on the student's time during any given semester.
Each student, however, must complete 65 to 69 semester hours (depending upon the length of the internship contract) to fulfill the program requirements and earn the degree of Master of Science. The following listing shows all the required courses in the sequence that would be taken by someone entering in an even numbered year. Because some courses are offered only once every two years the sequence is slightly different for students entering in odd numbered years. The required courses are, of course, the same.
