Speech Pathology and Audiology  (B.S.)

 

Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to: 

  1. identify educational and professional requirements for entry-level into the profession of speech pathology and audiology
  2. identify anatomy and physiology of the speech mechanism
  3. identify anatomy and physiology of the hearing mechanism
  4. identify characteristics of auditory disorders
  5. identify developmental milestones and theories of child development as well as speech development and basics of sound description and classification
  6. identify neurological processes important for normal speech and language and communication deficits following neurological trauma
  7. identify characteristics of disorders of speech and language across the lifespan with a concentration on special populations
