This day has been established to introduce the new winter annual crop Field Pennycress to producers and researchers. Researchers along with industry representatives will be present to discuss this very unique short season crop. The spring lines are looking great, while the winter lines are struggling to get started this spring. We will discuss: the results from the previous year variety trials, fungicide experiment, planting density, mutation breeding program, and have a chance to tour the plots and new greenhouse facility.
The day is set up as a guided tour through the plots with plenty of time for pictures and individual questions. If you have any questions or would like to bring a large group,
please contact Dr. Win Phippen (309) 298-1251 for more details.
