WIU-QC Hosts Luncheon Series on Volunteering

MOLINE, IL--The public is invited to lunch on three consecutive Wednesdays to learn about volunteerism needs and interests of the nonprofit community in the QCA. The series is being presented by Western Illinois University-Quad Cities in partnership with Mississippi Valley Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA).
The series will take place on the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities campus, 3561 60th Street, Moline, with the College of Education and Human Services, WIU-Macomb, providing lunch for those attending. The program is limited to the first 30 registrants. Participants are welcome to attend all three lunches or those in which they have a particular interest. Lunches are scheduled from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the WIU-QC campus on the following Wednesdays:
May 28 - - Presenters: Dave Layton and Angela Hunt, Volmentum.org, online volunteer center: Register by May 22
June 4 - - Presenter: Dr. James Patterson, corporate volunteering: Register by June 2
June 11 - - Roundtable discussion: Service learning, recruiting short term volunteers for summer events: Register by June 9
