*REVISED: Camp Ellis Progam to be Held in Ipava

MACOMB, IL -- Individuals who worked at Camp Ellis, a World War II military training center and prisoner of war camp in Fulton County, either as a soldier or a civilian, are invited to attend an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Ipava Village Hall to discuss their experiences, which will be used to build a comprehensive collection for the Western Illinois University Archives and Special Collections Unit.
"One of the pieces we would like to have in the collection is videotaped interviews with individuals who spent time at Camp Ellis," explained Jeff Hancks, director of Archives and Special Collections in the Leslie F. Malpass Library.
Hancks and University Libraries Dean Phyllis Self will discuss how the library will build the Camp Ellis Collection. Dates will be set at a later time to conduct videotaped interviews.
