Orientation & Registration

Programs to assist students with registration are held throughout the year. All accepted students will receive a welcome packet in the mail with information about their orientation/registration options, which will differ depending on their status and campus choice.

Still Need To Register For Classes?

Newly accepted freshmen and transfer students that did not attend an orientation/registration event should contact their academic advisor to register for the fall semester. All other students can register by logging in to STARS. If you need assistance, view information on registering.

Macomb Campus

Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR)

required two day program for all new freshman and transfer students with fewer than 15 semester hours who have been accepted and are planning to attend the Macomb campus for summer or fall .

New Student Registration

For transfer students with 15 or more semester hours who have been accepted and are eligible to register for classes at the Macomb campus of Western Illinois University for summer or fall .

Spring New Student Registration

For freshmen and transfer students who have been accepted and are ready to register for classes at the Macomb campus of Western Illinois University for spring .

Graduate New Student Orientation

For students that already have a university degree that are newly enrolled in Graduate School at Western Illinois University.
