Yearly room and board increases for entering students will be $370 more per year for double occupancy ($9,190 compared to $8,820 for Fall 2012). Fees for incoming Western-Macomb students will increase by $103.20 per year for students with a 15-hour schedule per semester ($2,534.70 per year beginning Fall 2013).
Quad Cities undergraduate students will see an all-costs increase of 4.63 percent. Undergraduate students entering Western's Quad Cities campus in Fall 2013 will be charged $8,405.40 in annual tuition, based on 15 hours per semester at a $280.18 per credit hour rate. The board will consider the University's FY'14 preliminary spending plan; positive tenure recommendations for 22 faculty members; and the presidential assessment and contract.
In addition, the board will consider a resolution to terminate a WIU employee, and will consider revisions to benefits for coaches and employee benefits-sick leave. The board will also elect officers for the 2013-2014 year.
The board will hear reports on academic program changes and academic curricular and administrative changes, and updates on long-term planning and riverfront development.
