MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University's Department of History, in partnership with the Office of Study Abroad and Outreach and EF College Study Tours, is offering students the chance to study in London for course credit during the Spring 2018 semester.

Students who participate in HIST 379, "Study Abroad in History - London: The City Experience" (three credit hours), will study the dynamic history of one of the world's most famous cities and have the opportunity to experience London in person during the course's travel component, timed with WIU's Spring Break. Students will visit important political, cultural, economic and legal sites in London, including the Houses of Parliament, the Royal Courts of Justice, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London and the British Museum.

"Study Abroad is a vital and exciting way to experience other cultures and gain international experience employers are looking for," said WIU Department of History Study Abroad faculty leader Jennifer McNabb. "The new partnership between WIU and EF College Study Tours offers exceptional programming at a great price, and EF College Study Tours is offering all WIU students who enroll during October a discount of $150."

Class sessions on the Macomb campus for HIST 379 will be held weekly for the first eight weeks of the spring semester on Wednesdays at 3 p.m.; travel dates to London are March 10-17.
