MACOMB/MOLINE, IL — Forty-two Western Illinois University faculty members have been promoted, effective Fall 2015.

Promotion recommendations were initiated at the departmental level and reviewed by the college deans and former Provost Ken Hawkinson, prior to final approval by President Jack Thomas.

Promoted from associate professor to professor:

  • College of Arts and Sciences

    • Richard Filipink, history;
    • Elgin Mannion, sociology and anthropology;
    • Shawn Meagher, biological sciences;
    • Amy Mossman, English and journalism;
    • Pengqian Wang, physics; and

    • Douglas Druckenmiller, computer sciences; and
