WIU-QC Admissions Working Late to Serve Prospective and New Students

MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Admissions team members will be available for extended hours Monday, Aug. 6-Thursday, Aug. 9 and again Monday, Aug. 13-Thursday, Aug. 16 to meet with prospective students seeking information about admission and registration for the Fall 2012 semester.

According to Vice President for WIU-QC Campus, Planning Joe Rives, prospective students can meet with WIU-QC Admissions staff through 6:30 p.m. on the above-listed dates at the Riverfront Campus.

Students who have already been accepted and are registered for classes are encouraged to attend one of the New Student Orientation sessions (schedule listed below):

Freshman and Transfer Students (WIU-QC Riverfront Campus)

  • 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8
  • 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9

Graduate Students (WIU-QC 60th St. Campus)

  • 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8
  • 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9

"This will be an exciting experience that will help new WIU-QC students prepare for their experiences in and out of the classroom. New students will have the chance to meet current students, staff and faculty, as well as begin friendships with other new students," Rives said. "The WIU-QC extended-hour offering over the next two weeks will accommodate prospective students' schedules, as well."
