WIU Mourns Death of AIMS Employee

MACOMB, IL – Christina "Chris" Noble, a manager in Western Illinois University's Administrative Information Management Systems (AIMS), passed away June 10 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

"The Western Illinois University community mourns Chris's death," said President Jack Thomas. "We extend our condolences and our thoughts to her family and friends."

Noble began working at WIU in July 1976 as a computer programmer. She graduated from Union High School in Biggsville and Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in computer science.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14 at Maple Avenue Christian Church in Macomb. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery.
