CANCELLED: "Cocktails with Larry Miller" April 12

MACOMB, IL -- "Cocktails with Larry Miller," originally set for April 12, has been postponed until further notice.

Larry Miller's management team has issued the following statement: "Due to a recently sustained injury, Larry will be postponing his tour until he has received medical clearance for air travel, said his representative Michael Hansen. We hope to have the opportunity to reschedule any of these cancelled dates and we appreciate the support of Larry's fans during his recovery."

Ticket holders for "Cocktails with Larry Miller" can redeem their tickets for a ticket to any show sold through the Hainline Theatre Box Office (tickets are not limited to BCA shows). Tickets can be redeemed for the remaining shows of the 2011-2012 season, or for a show in the 2012-2013 season.

The BCA plans to reschedule "Cocktails with Larry Miller" during the 2012-2013 season. More information on the 2012-2013 season will be available in the College of Fine Arts and Communication Arts Guide released in May.

Tickets can be redeemed at any time through the Hainline Theatre Box Office. For more information, contact the Hainline Theatre Box Office at boxoff@wiu.edu or 309.298.2900. Box office hours are noon-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

MACOMB, IL - -Western Illinois University's Bureau of Cultural Affairs presents "Cocktails with Larry Miller" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

Miller is a well-known entertainer who has appeared in movies such as "Pretty Woman," "The Nutty Professor" and "The Princess Diaries"; and he has made appearances on television shows including "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Boston Legal" and "Law and Order." He hosts a podcast, "This Week with Larry Miller," and is a columnist for The Weekly Standard and The Huffington Post.

The one-man act is seen as two parts comedy, one part theatre and a dash of music and a twist truth, according to his website www.larrymillerhumor.com.

Tickets ($15 for the public; $10 for senior citizens and free for WIU students with a valid ID) are available at the Hainline box office, (309) 298-2900, from noon -5 p.m. weekdays, or online at wiu.edu/BCA; click on "Get Tickets."
