MACOMB, IL – The Women's Center at Western Illinois University will hold "Women's Art: Women's Vision," a juried art exhibit planned in honor of National Women's History Month in March.

All female WIU students, staff, faculty and alumni, as well as women from the community, are encouraged to participate, whether established or beginning artists. Accepted works will be displayed in the WIU Multicultural Center through March.

Any artistic medium may be submitted. Entries may, but are not required to, relate to this year's University theme of "Science and Technology: Discover, Innovate, Create," or to tie in with this year's National Women's History Month theme of "Women's Education - Women's Empowerment."

A maximum of three works may be submitted per person. Complete submission guidelines and entry forms are available at wiu.edu/wc. The entry fee is $3 per submitted work and will go toward any supplies purchased for the art show, an honorarium for the juror, program expenses and future art-related activities.

The deadline for submission of artwork and entry forms is Thursday, Feb. 23.

Artwork should be submitted ready for display in case it is accepted into the show (matted and framed with hook for hanging or stand accompanying it).

For more information on the show or submitting artwork, contact the Women's Center at womenscenter@wiu.edu or (309) 298-2242.
