MACOMB, IL – Keri Allison, facilities manager for the University Union at Western Illinois University, has been named the WIU July Civil Service Employee of the Month.

According to her nominators, "Keri's job is one of the most demanding on campus. She has an endless list of duties, deadlines, and crises."

"Keri has an upbeat attitude with the busy schedules and planning for events during the school semesters," her nominators added. "She is helpful in assisting with scheduled events and is more than willing to answer any questions that may arise. Keri goes above the call of duty to assist whenever needed."

Allison began working at Western in July 2001 as an extra-help clerk in University Food Service. Later that year, she was hired as the public functions supervisor in the University Union. In October 2008, she was audited to her current position.

"Keri is to be commended for the positive impact she makes at Western and for providing outstanding customer service," said Carla Farniok, Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) public relations representative.

Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for this recognition should contact Farniok at (309) 298-2182 or e-mail CM-Farniok@wiu.edu.
