Reminder: Sexual Harassment Training Required

MACOMB, IL - - In accordance with the Illinois Human Rights Act (775 ILCS 5/) and in support of Western Illinois University's Anti-Harassment Policy, WIU has mandatory sexual harassment training for all employees. All University employees are required to complete the on-line Sexual Harassment Prevention (SHP) training or refresher course each year.

Employees are required to complete this training by Friday, Dec.18. If you experience problems logging on or have any questions regarding the program or this notice, please contact the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access at 298-1977.

Individuals who have completed the training during this fiscal year (July 1, 2009 to present) do not need to complete it at this time.

To begin the training:
Type http://training.newmedialearning.com/psh/willinoisu/ into your browser's address bar or visit the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access' webpage at www.wiu.edu/eoa and click on "Training and Programs", then "Sexual Harassment Prevention".

•Click continue.
•Click "New Employee" if this is the first time you have participated in the SHP training.
•Click "Refresher" if you have completed this training at WIU before.
•Click on the edition of the training program which best reflects your current employment status (faculty, supervisory, non-supervisory or student).
•Continue through the training program by clicking the appropriate navigational arrow on each page.
•Complete the mastery test and provide all required information.
•Certify completion of the training electronically to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access by pressing the submit button.
