MACOMB, IL -- The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce that Sheila Bryan, chief clerk for the WIU-Quad Cities campus administration, was selected as the June Civil Service Employee of the Month.

According to Bryan's nominators, "From the time she arrives (early) to the time she leaves (late), Sheila maintains a positive, cheerful and thoughtful demeanor. She is the team hub, someone who team members feel they can talk to and connect with about ideas, solutions and approaches."

"Sheila recently volunteered to support significant new duties supporting extended studies. This function needed a home and Sheila quickly adopted the functions and was effective in streamlining processes," her nominators said. "Sheila sees new pojects such as these as opportunities to grow and contribute to the WIU-QC campus."

Another nominator added that "We have been blessed that she joined the WIU-QC campus as chief clerk."

Bryan began working as a chief clerk at the Quad Cities campus in November 2005.

"We are proud to honor Sheila for her achievements and for her service to Western," said Greg Phelps, CSEC public relations officer. "She is a shining example of the quality employees that make WIU a wonderful place to work."
