Wiley Named July Employee of the Month at Western

MACOMB, IL -- The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce that Debbie Wiley, secretary IV in political science, has been selected as the July Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Wiley was acknowledged by her nominators as an “invaluable member of the political science department.” Wiley was credited for her efficiency, her copy editing skills and for developing a polished departmental newsletter. “Debbie is regarded as an adviser, a confidant and a colleague,” her nominators added.

Wiley started at WIU in January 1978 as a secretary III in the department. She was promoted to her current position in December 1985.

“Debbie's professionalism and knowledge of the University are worthy of this recognition,” said Paula Stull, CSEC public relations officer. “Debbie's commitment to Western and her job is evident in the work she does.”
