MACOMB, IL -- The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce that Dean Corder, parking services agent III, has been selected as the June Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Corder was acknowledged by his nominators for his expertise in repairing and maintaining the parking meters, both manual and electronic, as well as for his helpfulness. “Dean helps students by taking them to get gas, and he is always available to help faculty, staff and students unlock their cars.” Dean was also cited for being “a mobile source of information for incoming visitors” and for his loyalty to Western.

Corder started at Western in November 1987 as a parking services agent.

“Dean is to be commended for being a hardworking and dedicated professional employee,” said Paula Stull, CSEC public relations officer. “In what sometimes can be a thankless job, Dean serves as a parking services agent with great consideration for others.”

Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for this recognition should call Stull at 309/298-1967 or e-mail PL-Stull@wiu.edu.
