Dodson Named Employee of the Month

MACOMB, IL -- The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce Connie Dodson, secretary IV in Western’s Office of Graduate Studies, has been selected as the April Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Dodson was acknowledged by her nominators for going above and beyond the call of duty and for “presenting a positive image of the graduate office.” According to the nominators, Dodson helps graduate students work with lenders during the deferment process by calling the loan company herself and determining how to solve the student’s problem. She is “pleasant, cheerful, professional and friendly.”

Dodson started as a secretary III in the Office of Graduate Studies in February 2000.

“Connie’s commitment to Western is to be applauded,” said Paula Stull, CSEC public relations officer. “In her role in graduate studies, she represents WIU in a cordial and professional fashion.”
