WIU to Host Workshops for Artists and Performers Saturday

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Theatre and Dance will host a Chicago Guest Artists and Performers Workshop Saturday, Jan. 28 in Hainline Theatre.

The workshops, for WIU students, include well-known members of the Chicago theatre community. They will share their time and knowledge with students in sessions throughout the day.

The schedule includes:

• 9 – 10 a.m. - Open question and answer session with all guest panelists
• 10:15 -11:40 a.m. - Workshop with Bob Mason - Chicago Shakespeare
• 11:45 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. - Lunch break - bringing lunch/snacks is suggested
• 12:15 – 1:40 p.m. - Workshop with Becca McCracken - McCracken Casting
• 1:45 – 3:10 p.m. - Workshop with Matt Carney - Drury Lane Theatre

The workshops are being paid for by fundraising efforts of WIU's bachelor of fine arts musical theatre class of 2023, and help from the Guest Artists Fund through WIU's Department of Theatre and Dance.
