Zaborac started working at WIU in November 2001 as a secretary III in Building Services. She joined AIMS in November 2004 as an applications programmer I.

"Yvonne was a dedicated employee and always provided prompt and courteous service to whomever she worked with," said Stacie Hunt, AIMS director. "Yvonne will be missed, and will forever be in our hearts. We send our sympathies and thoughts to her family and friends."

She was audited to a programmer II in July 2009; programmer III in October 2009 and her current position in February 2019.

"Yvonne and I worked together since she joined our department. Her talent and passion for our craft were immediately apparent. She embraced whatever task she was given and sought out courses and additional training to expand her knowledge," said Ann Randall, applications programmer IV. "Her expertise will be greatly missed. She was also a talented artist and often displayed her beautiful paintings in her office. "

She is survived by her husband, Sheldon; children Patrick, Julie, Rachelle and Tim; one brother; and two sisters. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The full obituary can be found at oakshinesfuneralhome.com.
