Director of Purchasing Interviews

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Two candidates for the Western Illinois University director of purchasing position will interview Monday, Oct. 25 via Zoom.

Candidates include Lora Lidaywa, procurement officer supervisor at WIU, and Jessica Forman, master scheduler for NTN Bower in Macomb. Open sessions will be held from 11 a.m.-noon. (Lidaywa) and 2:30-3:30 p.m. (Forman). Individuals interested in participating in the open sessions must register at bit.ly/WIUPurch1 (Lidaywa) and bit.ly/WIUPurch2 (Forman).

Lidaywa has served as the procurement officer supervisor since September 2012. Previously, she was a purchasing officer III for four years. She joined the Purchasing Office in April 2000 as a secretary III, and was named purchasing officer I in May 2001 and purchasing officer II in October 2004. She earned her bachelor's degree from WIU.

Forman has served as the master scheduler at NTN Bower since September 2017. Previously, she was the logistics coordinator for Midwest Control Products in Bushnell from 2014-2017 and as a regional unit leader at Midwest Control from 2008-2014. She earned her MBA from WIU and her bachelor's degree from Monmouth College.

The purchasing director is responsible for directing the central purchasing operations for the institution. The director is responsible for the ongoing review and analysis of University business operations, including current University policies and procedures related to federal, state and local laws and regulations.
