'Next Wave' Dance Concert Friday and Saturday at WIU

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Theatre and Dance, in collaboration with the University Dance Theatre, will present its annual spring dance concert, Next Wave, at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, April 16-17 in Hainline Theatre.

The concert will offer an evening of original choreography by students and instructors, including performance modern/contemporary, jazz/hip hop and a dance film. Student choreographers include senior musical theatre major Joe Collins, of Sherrard, IL; senior pre-social work major Marissa Fast, of Villa Park, IL; senior musical theatre major Megan Graal, of West Chicago; junior psychology major Jacey Jones, of Prairie City, IL; senior communication major Elle McGary, of Darien, IL; senior musical theatre major Jessica Patrick, of Evergreen Park; and senior musical theatre major Colin Stansky of Florence, AL.

Reservations are required and admission is $15 for general admission, $13 for senior citizens and students and WIU students will be admitted free with valid student identification. To make reservations, call (309) 298-2900.
