WIU Alumnus Participating in One State 2020 Event

MACOMB, IL – Recent Western Illinois University alumnus James Tweedale is participating in the One State 2020 Conference, where he will be one of the playwrights for the 24-hour theatre festival.

Tweedale received his master of fine arts (MFA) degree in directing in Spring 2020.

The virtual festival begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 and can be found at silenttheatre.com/main-stage. The event is a presentation of five original 10-minute plays, created and executed in 24 hours. The plays are created virtually and broadcast live.

There are five directors, five writers and 15 performers.

Tweedale is a past recipient of WIU's Kozlowski Award in Playwriting and was part of several WIU theatre productions.
