Walk Down Memory Lane Livestream Oct. 1

MACOMB, IL – As Thursdays are often noted as #ThrowbackThursday on social media, it's most appropriate that two Western Illinois University graduates will be taking alumni and friends down memory lane Thursday, Oct. 1 as they walk around Macomb talking about the "old days."

1982 Graduate Tom Carper, who is also the former mayor of Macomb and 2012 Town & Gown Award recipient (and previous owner of Tom's Café and Ski's) and 1979 and 1983 Graduate Brad Bainter, executive officer of the WIU Foundation and WIU Leatherneck Basketball Hall of Famer, will take a walking tour of all the former hot spots around Macomb beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.

The event, which will be livestreamed via multiple social media platforms, kicks off WIU's virtual Homecoming celebration which will be held Oct. 9-10.
