Second Session of WIU's Virtual Science Saturday, Oct. 3

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Physics will host the second edition of its Virtual Science Saturday, "Seeing Things Small and Far Away," from 10-11 a.m. Oct. 3.

This session will provide lessons on manipulating a beam of light with mirrors and lenses, and how they have been used to see things far away (stars) and see things that are small (biological cells), as well as defining infinity mirrors and fiber optics and explaining how periscopes work.

Virtual Science Saturday is open to anyone and can be joined at wiu.zoom.us/j/94080912389. The event is co-organized by the WIU Physics and Optics Club.
