WIU Livestock Judging Team Places High in Recent Contest

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Livestock Judging Team placed high in the annual Premier Stockman Livestock Judging Contest, held in Indiana in late October.

WIU results include:

SWINE:

• Senior agriculture major Blake Hennenfent, of Gilson, IL - High individual

• Senior agriculture major Gage Hank, of Aledo, IL - Sixth place

• Senior agriculture major Adam Gradert, of Geneseo, IL – Seventh place

• Senior agriculture major Drew Lamle, of Ft. Wayne, IN – Ninth place

• Senior agriculture major Devon Boyer, of Blandinsville, IL – Tenth place

SHEEP/GOAT:

• Gradert - High individual

• Lamle - Fifth place

• Hennenfent – Eighth place

• Senior agriculture major Jeremiah Cupps, of Burlington, KY – Tenth place

CATTLE:

• Hennenfent – Seventh place

• Gradert – Eighth place

• Lamle – Ninth place

• Senior agriculture major Logan Hebert, of Mattoon, IL – Tenth place

REASONS:

• Lamle – Second place

• Gradert – Third place

• Hennenfent – Eighth place

OVERALL:

• Gradert - High individual

• Lamle – Fifth place

• Hennenfent – Seventh place
