Western Illinois University to Host Total Internship Management Workshop for Local Businesses

MOLINE, IL - - Western Illinois University will host the Total Internship Management Workshop from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday, June 7 at the WIU-Quad Cities campus Riverfront Hall.

Local businesses are invited to attend the workshop to learn how to effectively implement an internship program; identify future hires; create and maintain a pipeline of highly qualified and educated full-time job candidates; increase organizational brand awareness on college campuses and more.

The event is co-hosted by the Quad Cities Graduate Study Center and WIU-QC. The cost to register is $79, which includes a continental breakfast, snacks and lunch, as well as a copy of "Total Internship Management: The Employers Guide to Building and Sustaining the Ultimate Internship Program."

The Total Internship Management Program is designed to help organizations build a win-win internship program, based on in-depth research on the successful management of internship programs. The keynote presentation, by Robert Shindell, a nationally-recognized experiential education expert, will include detailed statistics from proprietary research and qualitative and quantitative responses from a recent research project regarding what makes internship programs successful based on the responses of more than 125,000 students and more than 500 universities.
