Chamber Orchestra Concert April 25 at WIU

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Chamber Orchestra Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The Chamber Orchestra, conducted by WIU Associate Professor Richard Hughey, will perform Robert Volkmann's "Serenade No. 2 in F Major for Strings, Op. 63," Antonio Vivaldi's "Concerto for Two Violoncelli in G Minor, RV 531, "Beethoven's "'Ah! Perfido' Scene and Aria, Op. 65," featuring WIU Assistant Professor Penelope Shumate, soprano, and the world premiere of Mario Diaz Gavier's "Concertino for Viola and Strings."

This performance is open free to the public.
