New Exhibition at University Art Gallery Announced

MACOMB, IL – An art exhibition by Silas Coggeshall, a Western Illinois University senior art major, of Macomb, will be on view at the WIU Art Gallery from April 18 – April 26.

Coggeshall was the winner of the inaugural Mavigliano/Brabec Senior Art Prize and $1,000 after a two-round competition through the WIU Department of Art.

A reception for the art prize will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, April, 18, at the University Art Gallery. A gallery talk with the artist will begin at 5 p.m. George and Renee Mavigliano will also be back on campus for the reception.
