MACOMB, IL – High school senior Anika Gram, of Burnsville, MN, has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which awards $10,000 per year to academically high-achieving students.

High school students with an ACT score of 30 or higher (or SAT equivalent of 1360), and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, are eligible for the scholarship.

Gram plans to major in biology. She chose WIU to become a member of the University's swim team and because of its academic reputation.

"I love that students are able to succeed in both areas (athletics and academics)," she said.

After graduation, Gram would like to continue her education and become a dentist, specializing in either orthodontics or cosmetic dentistry.
