Morris Named October Advisor of the Month at WIU

MACOMB, IL – Kelly Morris, an academic advisor in the Office of Academic Services (OAS), has been named the Advisor of the Month for October.

Morris was nominated for the award by multiple students, who said she "builds positive relationships and treats students with sensitivity and fairness."

"She always encourages me and checks on me often to see how I am doing," the students said. "She is like my mother away from home."

Each month, a WIU advisor is honored with a certificate and trophy. Award winners are decided by a committee that considers each of the applications for the month.
