Thorpe Obituary

MACOMB, IL – A memorial service for retired Building Service Worker Supervisor Arthur R. Thorpe will be held at noon, Saturday, Oct. 20 at Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ in Macomb. A visitation at the church will precede the service.
Thorpe passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, in Macomb.
Thorpe was hired at WIU in October 1985, as a building service worker, and retired as a supervisor in December 2011.
Thorpe is survived by his wife, Benita; his children, Jeanetta and Adrian; two grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.
