MACOMB, IL – The dance group Catapult will perform two shows at Western Illinois University Monday, Oct. 22.

During the day, the group will perform as part of the Youth Performing Arts Series, a program that brings regional school children to the Western Illinois University camps for arts programming. The shows are done for children in kindergarten through eighth grade and come at no cost to the schools.

At 7:30 p.m. Catapult will perform a BCA show in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

Catapult is based on the human form and its ability to transform. The group's dancers work behind a screen to create dancing shadow silhouettes while telling stories. They also previously performed on the television show "America's Got Talent."

Admission for the BCA performance is $15 for the public and $10 for senior citizens, WIU employees and youth. WIU students will be admitted free with valid student identification. Tickets can be purchased at westernpresents.com.
