MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University employees and retirees can help ward off the flu by taking advantage of a free flu shot clinic from 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 on the WIU-Macomb campus.

The McDonough County Health Department will offer a seasonal flu shot clinic at no cost for Western employees in the University Union Heritage Room.

Participants will need to present a WIU ID card and a state-issued health insurance ID card to obtain a shot, which will be administered as long as supplies last.

The clinic is also open to survivors and to employees of other state agencies who carry state health insurance. Dependents and spouses are not eligible for the shot.

For those employees who cannot attend the Oct. 11 flu shot clinic, contact the McDonough County Health Department at (309) 837-9951
