WIU Broadcasting Students Begin Year as Pinnacle Award Finalists

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Broadcasting and Journalism is beginning the academic year by continuing its award-winning ways with the announcement of the finalists in two award categories.

Recently the College Media Association named WIU's NEWS3-WIUTV finalists for Pinnacle Awards for Best Television Newscast for "Live at 4" and for Best TV Entertainment Program for "Good Morning Macomb."

The winners in each category will be announced at the Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Association Fall National Media Convention Oct. 26 in Louisville, KY.

The contest is open to student work produced for any college media organization, including print, broadcast and online outlets, during an academic year.
