Simpson Named Director of Equal Opportunity and Access

MACOMB, IL - - Chocoletta Simpson has been named director of the Western Illinois University Office of Equal Opportunity and Access (EOA), according to WIU President Jack Thomas.

Simpson began July 1.

"With past experience in affirmative action and overseeing Title IX in higher education, Ms. Simpson will serve individuals at this University well," said Thomas. "We are excited to have her join our administrative team."

Simpson came to WIU after serving as the Title IX and Affirmative Action coordinator at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR.

The director of the EOA office reports to the president and is responsible for coordinating the University's overall affirmative action/equal opportunity program and overseeing the design and implementation of the University's policies and procedures relative to equal opportunity and affirmative action, as well as serves as the Title IX and ADA (Americans with Disabilities) Compliance Officer.

Simpson has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration from Arkansas State University.
