MACOMB, IL - - Two Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology (CBT) students will travel to France and Sweden as part of the WELD Atlantis Exchange Program, which allows students to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in three years.

Bachelor of Business majors Quera Owens, from Calumet City, IL, and Marcus Pickett, from Peoria, IL, will travel to Lyon, France in August to begin their year of study abroad—their third and final year in their business program.

"The WELD Atlantis Exchange Program will allow me to earn an international business degree and expose me to more than one country and culture," Owens said. "This will provide an excellent opportunity to develop both personally and academically."

Pickett added, "What initially drew me to the program is the ability to get my degree in three years. Money is hard to come by, so being able to earn my bachelor's degree in less time reduces my college debt tremendously."
