Auxiliary Facilities Personnel Changes

MACOMB, IL -- Joe Roselieb, director of residential facilities at Western Illinois University, has been named the director of residential and auxiliary facilities, which includes oversight of the University Union, while Ketra Russell, assistant director of budget, University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS), has been named director of auxiliary finances/contracts.

According to Vice President for Student Services Ron William, Roselieb and Russell will maintain the duties associated with their former positions, while assuming additional responsibilities. The positions were consolidated within student services to save resources and to further enhance efficiency, Williams added.

"Joe and Ketra have provided outstanding service over the years in their respective roles, and will continue to ensure that the auxiliary side of the University operates effectively and efficiently," Williams said. "I appreciate their willingness to assume additional duties as we move the University forward."

Roselieb has served as director of residential facilities since July 2012. He has also served as the facilities liaison to WIU Athletics since August 2015. Prior being named director in 2012, he was the assistant director of residential facilities for four years. Roselieb joined the UHDS staff in 2004 as a facilities assistant student worker, and worked as a facilities graduate assistant prior to being hired full-time. In addition to his full-time role in housing, he has served as the caretaker and trainer of the University's official mascot, Col. Rock III, since May 2010.

Roselieb is a member of the Great Lakes Association of Colleges and Universities and the Association of College and University Housing Officers International. On campus, he is a member of the Persistence and Completion: Macomb Retention Team, UHDS Master Planning Committee (chair), WIU Alumni Council, Auxiliary Facilities System Finance Committee, Disability Support Services Advisory Committee and the ADA Advisory Committee. In the community, Roselieb is a member of the McDonough County Crimestoppers Board.

He earned his master's degree and bachelor's degree from WIU. He also holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in convention and management services from WIU's Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration.

Russell has served as assistant director of budget for UHDS since June 2012. She assumed the oversight of Go West, WIU's transit system, in August 2015. She also has provided assistance to the WIU Budget Office since August 2016. Russell has also served as the financial operations manager for Russell Farms (Adair, IL) since January 2010. Previously, she was the operations coordinator for the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation and served as the organization finance officer/graduate assistant for the WIU Office of Student Activities.

Russell is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers. On campus, she teaches a graduate level higher education budget course, is the chair of the Auxiliary Facilities System Finance Committee, and is a member of the University Talent Grants and Tuition Waivers Committee, Women Empowering Committee-WIU Athletics, Fair Labor Standards Act Task Force, Debt Compliance Committee , Student Cost Task Force, Online Fee Task Force, and UHDS Recruitment Task Force. In the community, Russell has previously served as the Macomb Junior High and Macomb High School competitive cheerleading coach, and is an active member of the McDonough County Public Transportation Committee , the Chamber Transportation Committee, the Macomb Business Academy and Maple Avenue Christian Church Worship Team.

She earned her MBA and bachelor's degree from WIU.

Auxiliary Facilities are comprised of WIU residence halls, the Harry Mussatto Golf Course, University Union and Campus Recreation. As the director of residential and auxiliary facilities, Roselieb will manage the daily facilities' needs for the residential housing department, which includes nine residence halls and one apartment building, one administrative building and one multi-dwelling house, as well as the overall management and supervision of the operations areas of the University Union with specific responsibilities for the Conference and Events Services Office, Conference Coordinator, Union Service Center, Union Operations and Beverage Services. As director of auxiliary finances, Russell will oversee the financial operations and contracts for UHDS/Sodexo, Go West transit, the Harry Mussatto Golf Course, University Union, and Campus Recreation. Russell will also coordinate the student fee process for auxiliary services and the Division of Student Services, as well as the talent grant and tuition waivers.
