MACOMB, IL -- Holly Sutton has been named the director of financial affairs for the WIU Foundation. Sutton replaces Letisha Trepac, who was recently named WIU budget director.

Sutton joined the Foundation staff in January 2017 as a temporary employee. She was hired full-time as an accountant I in March 2017, and was promoted to accountant II in May 2017. Previously, Sutton was an accountant in Business Services from 2012-2017, and payroll specialist in Business Services from 2010-2012. Prior to joining WIU, Sutton was an accountant at NTN Bower in Macomb for six years.

"Holly's accounting experience, and her in-depth knowledge of WIU and the Foundation, will further enhance our commitment to our donors, while ensuring compliance and sound business practices," said Brad Bainter, vice president for Advancement and Public Services and executive director of the WIU Foundation.

As the WIU Foundation director of financial affairs, Sutton serves as the manager of accounting, business, information systems, purchasing, scholarship processing and gift and pledge processing for the Foundation, and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, as well as analyzing and mitigating contractual, process, and system risks for the Foundation's operations and the Foundation's assets, which exceed $54 million. Sutton also manages the day-to-day operations of both the Foundation portion of the University Accounting system and the Foundation/Alumni (FAL) Gift & Pledge Processing system.

She received her master's and bachelor's degrees in accountancy from WIU.
